5 minutes easy every-day makeup look
I don't have any problem going naked faced, but I love doing my makeup in the morning. If I could, I would spend an hour perfecting it. But unfortunately not many of us have the time for that on an everyday basis, but we would like other people think we do. I thought I share my easy go-to makeup look, when I only have ten minutes at most, but still would like to look fresh and polished (you know, on that dry shampoo-using day..)
1. Prepare
I wash and moisturize my face first. Then in summer I use my very light sunscreen essence from The Body Shop(SPF50) and in winter my serum sunscreen (also TBS, SPF30). Sometimes I use my moisturizing antioxidant primer (Missha BB Boomer) when I feel my skin needs a little bit extra attention. I let everything sink in during breakfast.
2. BB cream
My all time favourite makeup product! I don't really like full coverage foundation (except very special occasions), because I feel like I always have to pay attention to it, because it can easily be cakey, or crease under my eyes, etc. (I haven't found the perfect one yet...). A BB cream is easy to apply and wear, and it can give nice coverage, too. I love me a good korean BB cream! My favourites are from Missha, and when I use them, my skin feel plumped up and moisturized. They both contain SPF, too (SPF25 and SPF42 plus PA+++). A BB cream gives me everything what I need, when I am in a hurry.
3. Powder (optional)
My Missha Perfect Cover BB cream doesn't need to be set, so when I only have like one minute, I just apply it and I am out of the door. My T-zone is oily, but I can get away with it. But when I have as many as five minutes, I usually take my NYX Stay Matte But Not Flat Powder Foundation. It's a dream. It sets my BB cream nicely and helps my skin stay matte but not flat :D. It has a very nice finish, which is anything but flat matte. The packaging with the mirror and washable sponge is a plus.
4. Blush
I am pretty fair, and I don't use any bronzer. What I love, is a good blush. When I am in a hurry, I like taking a shimmery (but not glittery) blush. It gives my complexion a healthy freshness, defines my cheekbones and works as a highlight as well. My favourite for this is Lilac D'Or from Bourjois (it is supposed to be a dupe for Nars Orgasm..). I apply it mainly to my cheekbones, and I take the excess to my temples (like I do it with a highlighter).
5. Brow mascara
I recently successfully grew my brows back to full potential, but they always, how to say it, lacked volume. What I see working with my current brow-situation is a fiber brow mascara, like the one from Catrice. It is easy to use, and the universal colour is a match for me. I can get my eyebrows nicely groomed in five seconds, that is what I call fool-proof. :)
These are usually the steps that I follow on a usual morning. I always have some lip products in my bag, I like applying them on the way. My favourites are the nourishing ones, like tinted balm or oil. They are also easy to reapply, too. In case of 'emergency' I always have a cool, dark lipstick with me, what I can use when I would like to pep up my makeup. I think it's a great hack, because I can use it a lot of different ways. I am planning to write a different post on that one. ;)
You may wonder why I didn't include any mascara. Well... because I h a t e removing it :D. I have a mini mascara in my little makeup bag with me, but I only use it when I must. I have big eyes alone, and I find my makeup more youthful, when I put the focus on the lips or the face instead of the eyes. And because my eyes are so big, my mascara goes everywhere, making me look tired. So if it is working or you, use mascara, it can make a big difference, it is just my personal preference not to use any.
I hope I could help you a bit with sharing my go-to fast makeup look, let me know if you like posts like this one. I hope you have a nice day or night! :)
